Simon has deep roots in Heidal and a long-standing connection to the Sjoa River, where much of his professional focus and passion for river safety and paddling has developed. Through his work with R3 Norge, Simon delivers high-quality courses in river rescue and safety.

Known for his calm approach and strong emphasis on sound decision-making and safety in moving water, Simon brings valuable local knowledge and experience to the festival. We are very pleased to have him contribute to the 2026 programme—sharing skills, experience, and a genuine connection to the river that has shaped so many paddlers over the years.
