Sjoa Raft Race 2026
Sjoa Raft Race 2026 is confirmed!
Where: Sjoa Playrun, Meet at Øytun (Take-Out)
When: Wednesday July 8th, 1900
Teams can be up to 6 people, at least one need to have enough experience to guide the a raft on Sjoa Playrun
Equipment: Proper riverclothes, personal safety equipment and throwbag.
Raft and paddles can be borrowed.
Entry fee pr. team (adults) 2 six packs of proper beer
Entry fee pr. team with juniors: 3 x 200g Freia Melkesjokolade
Age limit: Team leader: 18
Youngest team member: 12
Participants under 18 must have consent from legal guardian.

Raft Race is moving location. Due to levels dropping fast we will now race Storødegardsbrua/Heidal Rafting Takeout to slalom wood foot bridge.
Junior teams will start at kayak camp top eddy.

RACE FORMAT
– Race Briefing 7pm at Heidal Rafting takeout. (Race will begin sometime after this when all is ready)
– Teams will draw straws to decide boat positioning.
– One Team member will hold each boat while rest will do mass running start.
– There will be at least 1 cumpolsory eddy catch maybe 2! (Fail to catch an eddy – results in DQ)
– Finish is when you go under wooden bridge. (No need to chug any drinks anymore)
Meet at put in by your own means there will be bus or we will figure out shuttle back to cars.
